Reflections....

Psalm 40

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.

2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.

3 He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the LORD.

As I reflect and mediate this morning, I am doing a lot of checking of my heart. I am praying and working with the spirit to search me through and through for anything that would keep me from a deeper relationship with God and others. I am especially praying about removing any pride from my heart, increasing my capacity for patience, and using me a vessel of love. I am different today. I am growing more today, because I am open to God. I know He will push me past what it comfortable. The discomfort is growth pains. For more of Him and less of me, I accept his will. So I wait in silence....patiently.....expectanly....hopfully.....

-Amen
